Implementing cryptography in LoRa based communication devices for unmanned ground vehicle applications

Abstract In this study, a Long Range (LoRa) based bidirectional secured communication link for controlling and monitoring the robots from remote location is proposed. The security features structure of LoRa build upon standard protocol called wide area networks (LoRaWAN). To take advantage these features, devices/end modules need to be connected network server through gateway. However, certain military scenarios like war zones, terrorist attack sites, disaster sites etc., availability cannot guaranteed, therefore, available with LoRaWAN guaranteed. overcome critical limitation, device establishing between base station without relying on any secure exchanged data, cryptographic developed, confidentiality, authenticity integrity transmitted data robot are ensured. then implemented pair devices its functionality tested by Pioneer-P3Dx distance 1.2 miles. test shows that proposed can securely control track location.
